Caleb Jansen, a project engineer with HR Green, introduced himself to the Alburnett City Council as the local project manager for the city's park project and said HR Green is ready to begin once the agreement is signed and a kickoff meeting is scheduled.
"Once we get that signed and approved, we're looking forward to start scheduling a kickoff meeting and get started," Jansen said, offering to answer questions about the agreement and the design process.
Council members and staff said the preliminary design is not currently within the city's budget and discussed the likelihood of phasing work or using design changes to meet funding constraints. Staff emphasized there is no grant funding at risk that would force an immediate schedule and that project timing may be flexible to secure favorable bid windows.
The city administrator said she will sign the agreement and keep council informed about meetings and timelines; council invited additional participation for planning meetings where daytime attendance is likely.
