The Lake Forest Park City Council adopted the Road Safety Action Plan on June 25 following a third presentation and staff Q&A.
Public Works Director Nova Heaton was on hand to answer questions and confirmed to the council that there were no substantive changes to the spreadsheet since the last review. Councilmembers thanked staff for the work and moved, seconded and approved adoption by unanimous voice vote.
The plan will serve as a roadmap for future safety improvements on the local road network; staff will return with project prioritization and implementation schedules as funding and project scoping are completed.
Next steps: Staff to track plan implementation, prioritize projects in coordination with the transportation improvement program, and bring budget requests or grant recommendations to council as needed.
