The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve an amendment to Appendix B of the Bayport City Code to reinstate signage and security provisions for cannabis and hemp businesses that were inadvertently omitted during a prior ordinance update. Staff said the omission was a housekeeping oversight and that the nearby cannabis business’s submitted sign permit already complies with the language proposed for reinsertion.
No public testimony was offered. Commissioners voted to recommend the amendment to the City Council. Staff will forward the ordinance draft and a brief explanation of the correction to the council for formal adoption.
