Bayport — Assistant administrator Taylor told the council that staff will recommend an appointment to the vacant planning commission seat (formerly held by Orin Kip) at the April 6 city council meeting and that the planning commission will meet April 20 with a tentative agenda that includes the Bay Haven second-portion final plat and multiple variance applications.
Taylor said a draft ordinance establishing zoning regulations for bed-and-breakfast establishments may also appear on the planning commission agenda and that the new city website now supports real-time picnic-shelter and Lakeside Park beach-house availability with online credit-card payment; cash and check remain accepted at city hall.
Taylor added that staff will bring a recommendation for appointment to council in April and that planning commission interviews are complete for one vacancy.
Next steps: staff will present the recommended appointment on April 6 and the planning commission will take up the listed items on April 20, with public hearings/notification as required by ordinance.
