Allamakee school board appoints Jesse Delaney to fill at-large seat

The Allamakee Community School District Board unanimously appointed Jesse Delaney on Sept. 6, 2024, to complete the remainder of the at-large term vacated by Allan Rissman.
Board member Erik Helgerson moved to appoint Delaney, and Scott Melcher seconded the motion. The board held a vote and the minutes record that "the vote was all ayes," carrying the motion. Board President Allan Rissman convened the special meeting at 7:30 a.m. in the middle school board room.
The appointment followed a brief procedural agenda. Earlier in the meeting, Board member Scott Melcher moved to adopt the agenda as presented; Beth Shafer seconded and the board approved the agenda by unanimous vote. The Oath of Office for Delaney is scheduled to be administered at the board's next regular meeting on Sept. 16, 2024.
After completing business, Kelly Deeney moved to adjourn the special meeting; Beth Shafer seconded. The board adjourned at 7:38 a.m. by unanimous vote.
