The Buhl City Council on Nov. 18 authorized Mayor James Matthews to issue an offer of employment to Robecca Jaeger for the position of City Clerk/Treasurer.
Two finalists — Ryan Rivers and Robecca Jaeger — were interviewed on Nov. 10 and councilors reviewed the interviews in closed session. After exiting closed session, the council voted to proceed with extending an offer to Jaeger at the salary recommended by the city's human resources consultant and personnel selection committee. A Dec. 8, 2025 start date was suggested during discussion.
Mayor Matthews moved to authorize issuance of the offer as a standard employment offer rather than through a potential employment agreement; the motion was supported by Councilor Teska-Erickson and carried unanimously.
Staff will finalize the offer letter and return to the council if issues arise or an employment agreement is proposed.
