Superintendent David Roth summarized stakeholder engagement, district goals, actions and services in the 2026‑27 LCAP updates for Buckeye Union School District, Valley View Charter Montessori and Buckeye Union Mandarin Immersion charter schools. Assistant Superintendent Jackie McHaney presented the proposed district budget, reviewing projected revenues, expenditures, enrollment assumptions, reserve levels and multi‑year fiscal projections.
Board President Kirk Seal opened and closed the public hearing at approximately 7:39 p.m.; no public testimony was offered. Board members then discussed stakeholder participation in LCAP development, district goals, assumptions underlying the budget projections and the district’s continued fiscal stability. Board members expressed appreciation for the staff work preparing the LCAP and proposed budget.
As required by Education Code Sections 42127 and 52062, the Board must hold two separate meetings for the budget hearing and budget adoption and must adopt the LCAP prior to voting on the budget. The Board set June 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. for the adoption of the 2026‑27 LCAP updates and the budget.
No formal action was taken on June 10; the matter will return to the Board for adoption at the June 24 meeting.
