A representative for the redevelopment project at the 7‑Eleven on Hayden Road told the Town of Lake Clarke Shores Code Enforcement Board that exterior repairs are nearly complete and the contractor expects to finish interior work within two to three months.
Code enforcement presented updated photos of the site and said the demo permit has been completed. Eric Mills of VDG Engineering said the exterior façade, windows, doors and painting are done, debris has been removed, and a roof final inspection is scheduled within days. He told the board the interior contractor estimated roughly 60 days to finish, and he suggested 90 days to be conservative.
Board members discussed permission for the code officer to perform a property walk-around to verify compliance with exterior items (windows, doors, debris removal). The board asked the project representative to provide a contact card so staff could coordinate access for inspections.
The code officer said most exterior violations could be closed if inspectors confirm the repairs; remaining items such as landscape, driveway and interior finishes will require additional time and will be checked at a status update next month.
Next steps: the project manager will coordinate with the code officer to allow an inspection, and the board will review the status at the next meeting.
