The North Liberty City Council approved both the preliminary and final plats for the North Liberty Civic Campus on April 14, adopting Resolutions 2026-36 (preliminary plat) and 2026-37 (final plat).
Russ, staffing the Planning Commission recommendation, told the council the commission reviewed the preliminary plat at its April meeting and unanimously recommended approval. The council then took the two resolutions up for consideration; roll call recorded votes of Liebold, Wayson, Fortney and Park as aye on each resolution and the mayor announced motions carried 4–0.
Planning staff noted that while the Planning Commission typically reviews preliminary plats, the council had authority to approve final plats; the council acted on both items in the same meeting. No public comment was recorded during the hearings and no amendments were offered.
