It has gone to the Governor's desk, and the Governor has pushed it forward to FEMA and the President,' Hubers said, noting that the county is now awaiting the federal review and any determination about assistance.
Hubers' update indicated the county has completed the required local and state-level steps and that the next action depends on federal review; she did not give a timeline for FEMA or presidential action.
County officials did not vote on related action at the meeting; commissioners noted they will wait for the federal decision before taking further action. The update was presented during the elected officials and department head comments portion of the June 9 meeting.
