Calhoun County board backs Pomeroy Historical Building grant support; discusses historic-preservation commission membership
Summary
Historic preservation staff presented a FY26/27 request and raised commission-member removal under bylaws for consideration at a future meeting; the board approved a letter of support for a Pomeroy Historical Building grant and passed two transfer resolutions moving funds to Secondary Roads.
Riley Bleam, Calhoun County Historic Preservation Director, presented the department’s FY 26/27 budget request and informed the board that removal of a commission member under the organization’s bylaws would be brought forward at the next meeting.
The board also approved a motion authorizing the chair to sign a letter of support for a grant application for the Pomeroy Historical Building. That motion, made by Scott Jacobs and seconded by Cory Ridgely, passed unanimously.
Separately, the board approved two fund transfers: Transfer Resolution 2025-32 from Rural Services to Secondary Roads and Transfer Resolution 2025-35 from the LOSST fund to Secondary Roads. Both transfers were approved on motions recorded as unanimous.
