Calhoun County trustees approve drainage repairs; one supervisor abstains on two work orders

Trustees approved invoices and work orders C-39-2025 (B & S Tiling), C-40-2025 (Wieston Ag Service) and C-43-2025 (Wieston Ag Service) by motion; the motions were recorded as carrying with unanimous assent. For work orders C-42-2025 and C-41-2025, the board approved the repairs by recorded vote with Member Scott Jacobs and Chairman Dave George voting yes and Vice Chairman Cory Ridgely abstaining.
The minutes list B & S Tiling and Wieston Ag Service as the contractors on the cited work orders. The board’s recorded abstention on the two B & S work orders is noted in the minutes but is not accompanied by an on-the-record explanation.
After completing the drainage business the board came out of trustees and returned to its general agenda. The minutes indicate invoices for the approved work orders will be processed according to standard trustee procedures; no additional funding authorizations or supplementary motions were recorded at this meeting.
