Hubbard‑Radcliffe board approves 2025‑26 budget amendment, moves $1,600 to athletics fund

The Board of Education of the Hubbard‑Radcliffe Community School District approved an amendment to the district’s 2025‑26 certified budget and authorized a $1,600 transfer from the Concession Activity Fund to the All Athletics Fund during a May 26 special meeting in the superintendent’s office at Hubbard School.

Board member Jacob Bolson called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. Board members Marty Eide and Laura Imsland were present with Bolson presiding via phone; Tracey Rieks and Erin Nelson were absent. Superintendent Chris Fenster and Board Secretary Debra England were listed as present.

Laura Imsland moved to approve the meeting agenda; Marty Eide seconded and the motion carried. Later, Marty Eide moved, seconded by Imsland, to enter a public hearing on the proposed amendment to the 2025‑26 certified budget. The board recorded the roll-call vote with Ayes: Bolson, Eide and Imsland; Nays: none; Absent: Nelson, Rieks. No public comments were heard or received during the hearing. Imsland then moved, and Eide seconded, to close the public hearing; that motion also carried on the same roll-call vote.

After the public‑hearing process, Eide moved and Imsland seconded a motion to approve the 2025‑26 budget amendment as presented; the motion carried. The board also approved a motion, made by Imsland and seconded by Eide, to transfer $1,600.00 from the Concession Activity Fund into the All Athletics Fund to address a negative balance in that athletics subaccount. Meeting minutes record the motions as carried ("MC").

The board announced its next regular meeting will be Monday, June 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Radcliffe School Library. Eide moved and Imsland seconded a motion to adjourn the special meeting at 5:05 p.m.; the motion carried.
