On routine business, the council approved the June 8 agenda by unanimous consent and approved minutes from the June 3 special meeting on a motion from Council Member Toni Arnold, seconded by Jamey Sintz. Village staff reported two campground trees fell at Pastime Park after recent storms with no injuries; cleanup is underway. Finance Director Renee Sonnett said the 2026 audit will begin next week per the revised audit schedule.
Council opened first readings for a suite of zoning code amendments (Ordinances 19–32, 2026) that would revise defined terms, zoning district references, accessory structure rules and, in Ordinance 32-2026, enact Chapter 1188 (Data Centers). Two resolutions were also introduced on first reading: Resolution 21-2026 to adopt the Village Cybersecurity Program under Ohio Revised Code Section 9.64 and Resolution 22-2026 authorizing the 2026 resurfacing contract to Chemcote Inc. No final votes on the ordinances or resolutions were taken that night.
