Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen told the board Oct. 1 that preliminary audit documents have been uploaded to the caseware portal and that field work is scheduled for Nov. 12–15. Paumen said proposed levy certification forms were submitted reflecting a 3% increase for both funds consistent with the township's annual meeting.
Paumen also reported that election judges have been scheduled, including five new judges, and that equipment pickup and testing would occur in advance of upcoming elections. The board received the August recycling report and a notice of a CenterPoint Energy rate increase.
On administrative equipment, Vice Chairman Brandon Geyen moved to approve laptops rather than Chromebooks for supervisors; Chairman Mike Helman seconded. Supervisor Andy Christensen abstained due to a conflict of interest and the motion carried 2-1 with one abstention. The minutes do not record which supervisor voted no. The board also announced scheduling changes: the Nov. 5 meeting was moved to Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m.; the Board of Canvas will meet Nov. 7; the reorganizational meeting is set for Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m.; and the Board of Audit will meet Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
