The consent agenda (motion by Rigler, second Mulder) approved minutes from Dec. 16, payment of bills, CIRTPA primary and alternate committee members, liquor licenses for Casa Azteca, Finski’s and Casey’s (change in ownership), reappointment of Shelby Ebel and Gordy Mosher to the Planning & Zoning Board, the appointment of Uriah Hansen to Planning & Zoning, Resolution No. 26-001 (street light resolution), and Resolution No. 26-002 setting a public hearing to consider an ordinance to rezone property at the southeast corner of 210 and 560th owned by Merle Dean Brendeland, Janis Brendeland and Megan Russell. The roll-call vote on the consent agenda was recorded as Ayes: Echer, Mulder, Murphy, Roberts, Rigler.
In the business portion of the meeting the council adopted Resolution No. 26-003, approving a Volunteer Reception Center for emergency response (motion by Roberts; second by Mulder; vote recorded Ayes: Mulder, Roberts, Rigler, Murphy, Echer). The council also adopted Resolution No. 26-004 approving the preliminary plat for Blue Sky Lakeview Estates Outlot “Z” and Outlot “Y” (except the part of Outlot “Y” conveyed to the State of Iowa) (motion by Echer; second by Mulder; vote recorded Ayes: Roberts, Rigler, Echer, Murphy, Mulder).
The resolution recorded as setting a public hearing (Resolution No. 26-002) references an ordinance amendment to the Municipal Code, Chapter 165, to allow rezoning of property at the southeast corner of 210 and 560th; the consent item did not specify a hearing date.
