Pasadena police join regional Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

On June 3 Pasadena Police Department officers joined the 45th annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, carrying the Flame of Hope for more than four miles to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Southern California, Pasadena officials said.
Kelly O'Rourke, host and reporter for Pasadena Media, said on the Rose City Report that members of the Pasadena Police Department participated in the 45th annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 3.
According to Gene Harris, Chief of Police, the Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest public awareness and fundraising movement benefiting Special Olympics Southern California. Pasadena officers carried the Flame of Hope for more than four miles to support athletes and raise awareness of inclusion and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
