Planning Director briefs commission on switch to paperless agenda software

Planning Director Griffiths briefed the Shorewood Planning Commission on Sept. 2 about the city's planned transition to an agenda management software system that will shift meeting packets toward a paperless format. Griffiths said the initial rollout is expected at the City Council meeting on Sept. 8, 2025, and that commissioners will continue to receive meeting packets via email.
Griffiths explained that "the biggest change would be that a hard copy of the packet would no longer be sent to their homes," and offered to print paper copies on request for commissioners who need them. Chair Huskins suggested the commission try the electronic packet for the next meeting before requesting ongoing paper copies. Commissioner Ruoff was assigned to present the Planning Commission report at the upcoming City Council meeting.
No formal action was required on the software update during the Planning Commission meeting.
