The board also appointed William Walters as a temporary member of the Architectural Community Appearance Board of Review (ACABOR) (item 6), approved a standard work-day resolution for certain elected/appointed officials (item 7), released the performance bond for the Reserve at Pearl River (item 8), accepted the retirement of Police Officer Michael McDanis effective June 29, 2026 (item 9), and approved land assistance for the 2026 Pearl River fireworks.
All motions introduced in the consent/workshop portion were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Audit and warrants: the board approved an audit for three warrants totaling approximately $2.6 million. Noted line items included recycling services ($111,000), fuel ($45,000), playground shade structures (bond-funded, $78,000), health care benefits (~$1.1 million) and a grit-collector rebuild ($74,000).
No formal action was taken on the Palisades zoning matter; supervisory remarks and developer presentations were informational only and a formal petition filing would be required to trigger planning-board review and SEQRA.
