She said 4M agreed to bill the district for time actually worked rather than a flat monthly fee, which the district viewed as more protective of its finances.
Board members asked whether staff could choose to remain district employees, whether partial transitions would be allowed, and what protections would follow if a vendor later failed to deliver. Administrators said any move would be voluntary for employees, the district would meet individually with affected staff, and transition timing would minimize disruption. The motion authorized the superintendent to continue discussions and to bring a contract to the board for approval if negotiations succeed.
The board also noted ongoing meetings with HS’s leadership to negotiate an orderly transition and that a meeting with HS leadership was scheduled the following Thursday.
