Roosevelt County adopts new fairgrounds fees, tables signage decision pending local quotes

County manager Miss Forier presented the recommended changes to the facility-use agreement: increase stall fees from $15 to $25 per night, raise RV hookup fees from $25 to $35 per day, and remove the deposit requirement for those two items to reduce bookkeeping burdens. "I would propose that we increase the stall amount from 15 to $25 a night and then increase the hookups from $25 a day to $35 a day and then just remove the deposit," Miss Forier said.
Commissioners discussed a separate proposal for sponsor signage at the fairgrounds modeled on a local high school approach: an initial sponsorship payment that covers sign production (suggested $400) and an annual renewal (suggested $100). Commissioners asked staff to solicit quotes from local printers and to return with options for sizes and pricing before approving a county-printed signage program.
After discussion, a motion was made to approve the amended rates and remove deposits for stalls and hookups while holding off on the signage decision until staff returns with pricing and a proposed policy. The motion passed by unanimous vote. The commission later moved to adopt Resolution 2026-17 to put the amended fee schedule into effect.
The new fee schedule and the decision to table signage were recorded in the meeting packet; staff will return with local vendor quotes and a proposed signage policy at a future meeting.
