Town authorizes Taxiway A rehabilitation contract; pre-construction meeting set

The Town Board of Malone voted unanimously to authorize Supervisor Andrea Stewart to sign the Taxiway A Rehabilitation Contract with bid awardee Luck Bros., Inc., with a pre-construction meeting scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 24. Councilor Brian Taylor moved the authorization and Councilor Jody Johnston seconded; the motion passed 5-0.
At the same meeting the board also authorized Supervisor Stewart to sign an agreement with Symquest for a new Justice Court copier as per budget decisions, and approved an MCF physical for Paul Langdon and his addition to the Franklin County Self Insurance Plan. The MCF physical and insurance addition were moved by Councilor Jody Johnston and seconded by Deputy Supervisor Terrence Maguire; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board’s record shows these items were considered on the Supervisor’s reports portion of the agenda and were adopted without recorded dissent. The pre-construction meeting for the taxiway contract is the next scheduled step in the project timeline.
