Malone board approves MOU, grant documents and routine business; discussion over rec commission funding continues

On formal actions, the board authorized Supervisor Andrea Stewart to sign an MCF physical to add Barry Stickles to the Franklin County Self Insurance Plan (Resolution 239‑2024) and authorized her to sign State and Municipal Facilities Program grant documentation for $125,000 toward improvements at the Veteran's Baseball Field Complex (Resolution 240‑2024). The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding for the part‑time highway clerk (Resolution 242‑2024).
Personnel and appointments: the board accepted the resignation of Josh Brown from the MEO position effective Sept. 26, 2024 (Resolution 245‑2024). The board received letters of interest for planning‑board seats from Michael Dufort and Malcolm Miner; Councilors Paul Walbridge and Brian Taylor will meet with candidates.
