Malone board signs consultant agreements after FAA awards grants for perimeter fence and Taxiway A

Supervisor Andrea Stewart said the town was awarded FAA funding earlier in the week for Perimeter Fence Phase 1 construction, Perimeter Fence Phase 2 design and Taxiway A construction. The board authorized Supervisor Stewart to sign a consultant agreement for the perimeter fence, Phase One construction, and a consultant agreement for Taxiway A Rehabilitation Construction Project. The motions passed unanimously (Ayes 4).
Airport Manager Bruce Burditt, present at the meeting, was thanked later in the session for his role in the Malone Fly-In and for coordinating airport activities. The board said the grant agreements had been executed in line with a prior board resolution adopted June 26.
The consultant agreements are intended to move design and construction procurement forward on the perimeter fence and taxiway projects; the board did not provide construction contract awards or detailed timelines at the meeting.
