FAROS Properties representatives presented a sketch plan Feb. 5 proposing renovation of three Pittsburgh Technical College dormitories at 100 Boyd Lane to apartments, with the potential for additional new apartment buildings. The proposal would require rezoning the property from CE (Civic and Education) to R‑2 (Suburban Residential).
Attorney Kevin McKeegan of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott and Foros representatives Catherine Truslow and Brad Ott provided a PowerPoint overview and asked the Planning Commission for initial feedback. Commissioners said they would review the sketch and contact the developer with comments. The presentation was preliminary; no formal action or vote was taken at the meeting.
