The Planning Commission recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve a conditional use and a major land development application for the Scott Farm Barn, an agricultural and catering/event center proposed on the Scott Family Farm at 42 Old North Branch Road.
Applicant Amanda White and Gateway Engineers’ Alberto Jarquin presented the project and answered questions about paving, traffic pattern signage and lighting. Township Engineer Shawn Wingrove said remaining engineering comments could be addressed at final approval; Community Planner Jonathan Brodak reported no additional items.
The Commission unanimously recommended waivers allowing fee‑in‑lieu of sidewalk construction along Old North Branch (§22‑404), waiving a landscape buffer and street trees along North Branch Road (§27‑312), waiving an internal sidewalk connection between the event barn and the road (§27‑317), and waiving full paved concrete within the property (§27‑904). The Commission also voted unanimously to recommend conditional use (Application 2025‑29‑CU) and land development (Application 2025‑30‑SP) approvals, contingent on addressing Township and LSSE review letters dated Jan.–Feb. 2026.
As with other items, the Commission’s action is a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors; final approvals and permit issuance remain with the Board and staff review processes.
