Councilors discussed proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance that would allow above‑ground pools on vacant adjoining lots and permit removable sheds up to 144 square feet on gravel bases, skids or pillars without an adjoining‑lot setback while preserving front‑yard setbacks. Solicitor Tim Wachter was asked to draft suggested ordinance language for council review.
Separately, council reviewed a proposed change to the Parking Ordinance that would remove front‑end parking in Municipal Lot #2; Streets Supervisor Bob Phillips was asked to calculate how many spaces would be available under angled parking so the solicitor could prepare a formal amendment.
Council also agreed to use WRA, LLP (the county’s appointed engineer) for the previously approved school crossing feasibility study and to proceed with selecting the engineer for design and monitoring work as needed.
