Borough Manager Cindy Wells said the EACOG initiative creates an opportunity for additional internet service providers to consider serving the borough and that the borough’s permitting requirements already align with the program’s recommendations. Councilor Kerns moved to proceed with the public meeting and resolution and Councilor Joyce seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Council directed staff to schedule the public meeting required to adopt the resolution and to coordinate with EACOG on application steps.
