Board discussion focused on siting (the enclosure at the Landing is presently in the middle of the new parking area and was called an eyesore by resident Candace Tanner), costs for single versus double units (staff said a double dumpster install runs roughly $53,618), and whether to adjust locations. Members asked staff to proceed with the three approved city sites and to obtain pricing and a change‑order option to add the Landing enclosure without rebidding. Mr. Merrill and others emphasized a phased approach given CRA budget uncertainty.
The motion to move forward with the three‑site package passed; board members agreed staff may pursue a change order or amended scope to add a Landing enclosure if funds permit.
