Speedway council adopts ordinance adding part‑time clerk‑treasurer position to ensure knowledge transfer

"Our long serving accountant gave us plenty of notice that she's going to be retiring. So, this would allow us to have all of our existing positions filled and then to have that position double‑filled for the rest of the year while we try to have an opportunity for the new person to learn from the old person," Faust said.
Councilors moved, seconded and adopted the ordinance on a 4–0 vote. Councilors praised the overlap plan as a practical approach to preserve institutional knowledge during staff transition.
