Tom Tyburski said the Board of Selectmen had authorized the town departments to submit projects for consideration and that the board had approved the applications list. He said if the congressionally directed funds are less than the project cost, the town would be responsible for covering the remainder.
Commissioner Curtis Looney (Board of Selectmen liaison) confirmed the Board of Selectmen’s approval. The department plans to prepare the grant application in the coming week.
No vote was recorded on the application itself during the March 26 meeting; the record reflects an informational update and the town’s intention to apply.
