Germano said a donor who previously funded Field #5 work approached the league again and committed funding two weeks before the meeting.
C.P.&R. Director Tom Tyburski said the town will use an MOU that makes Little League responsible for utilities and ongoing upkeep if the structure is built. The commission recorded estimated costs of about $175,000 for the structure and $25,000 for furnishings, tables and miscellaneous items. Germano told the commission that Simsbury will host the U10 state championships for the next three years, a scheduling detail league leaders said informed the timing of improvements.
