County seeks extension on Grants Pass taxiway planning grant after hangar change order raises issues

She said the project requires an FAA environmental assessment, which the FAA must provide, and that the county has already processed three amendments for the grant. Because the county does not expect the FAA assessment to be ready in time for another extension, Commissioner Colene Martin asked staff to seek a 60-day extension; Commissioner Gary Richardson indicated agreement and the board directed staff to request the extension.
The board did not approve the change order as a final action at the session. Instead, commissioners instructed Jadot to consult with the county’s legal department and to place the matter on a future legal counsel update agenda.
