Britson emphasized that the facility’s operating account is separate from Fund 10 (the district’s general fund), which allows the district to set fees to sustain programs and the facility over time rather than relying on general fund support. She said fees were intended to make programming sustainable "not just for first five years but 20 30 40 years."
Board members asked about corporate or employer memberships, potential public access to specialized labs (Fab Lab/TechEd areas) and whether local teachers could incorporate programming; Britson said those ideas were under consideration and that staff could provide monthly updates to the board.
