CVB: Boyle County tourism spending rose to $84.5 million in 2025

Kendall Clinton of the Boyle County Convention & Visitors Bureau presented the Kentucky Department of Tourism’s county-level economic impact figures for 2025. The CVB reported 679 tourism-supported jobs (down 17 from 2024), $19.9 million in labor income, $6.7 million in state and local taxes generated, and $84.5 million in visitor spending — an increase of about $1 million from 2024.
Clinton noted these figures are compiled by Tourism Economics and that the bureau uses 2018 as a benchmark because the state changed the underlying methodology that year. On several key metrics — labor income, tax generation and total spending — Boyle County’s growth since 2018 outpaced statewide averages.
Magistrates congratulated the CVB for sustained growth and noted the role of local promotion and partnerships in supporting tourism’s contribution to economic development.
