Boyle County fiscal court approves budget transfers, adopts FY26-27 budget

Acting President of Boyle County Fiscal Court called the June 21 meeting to order and the court approved a package of budget transfers and cash movements designed to close out the fiscal year.
Treasurer staff presented transfers totaling $128,679.38 and explained larger cash transfers that included $500,000 from an interest-bearing account back to the general fund and smaller transfers to the road fund, jail and EMS. The court moved and voted to approve those transfers.
Members also accepted additional bills added to the packet, bringing the day’s payable total to $973,808.42. The court approved payment of those bills after a brief review of line items.
The court authorized up to $10,000 to purchase an interoperable communications device from Southern Communications to improve first-responder communications during large events and emergencies; the judge asked staff to obtain and process the invoice before July 1 if possible.
Finally, Shannon Green reported that the FY26-27 budget had been approved by the Kentucky Department for Local Government; the court approved the second reading and adopted the budget as presented.
The court also adopted a set of administrative code revisions and accepted the treasurer’s monthly settlement. Several routine appointments and reappointments were confirmed during the session.
The court adjourned after routine magistrate reports and community updates.
