Select Board approves routine business, nominates representative and sets Deasey Road speed limit

The board approved the May 26, 2026 minutes after a motion by John Bennett and a second from Danielle Cole. Bennett moved and Susan Sargent seconded approval of Volta’s liquor license renewal; the motion passed 5-0. Select Board member Judy Sproule moved and John Bennett seconded to nominate Fred Ehrlenbach as the town’s representative to the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission; that motion also carried 5-0.
On traffic control, John Bennett discussed a resident request for a speed limit sign on Deasey Road and said 25 mph would be appropriate. The board voted to post a 25 mph sign after a motion by Bennett and a second from Sargent; the vote was 5-0.
The board also approved and signed accounts payable and payroll warrants after a motion by Bennett and a second from Cole; the motion carried unanimously. No roll-call of individual votes beyond the 5-0 tallies was recorded in the public minutes.
The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
