Retired teacher and community member Leslie Gast spoke in support of public education and said she is a candidate for state representative in District 67; she thanked the board and said she would advocate for students at the state level.
District leaders acknowledged the comments during the meeting and the superintendent directed families to the district's website, citing a "District Reconfiguration" FAQ intended to answer many implementation questions and next steps for affected families.
The board did not take public‑comment votes; after comments concluded the board moved forward with its planned votes that evening.
