Council approves routine minutes, invoices, fees and a storm-drain repair contract

At its Nov. 20 meeting, the Dublin City Council handled routine business items that included approval of the Nov. 6 minutes, payment of bills over $15,000 and purchases exceeding $15,000.
Councilman Griggs moved to approve the Nov. 6 minutes and Councilman Brown seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. The council approved bills over $15,000 after a motion from Councilman Griggs and a second from Councilman Godfrey.
Public works staff member Mr. Pal described a required storm-drain replacement along Cypress Drive covering three legs of pipe (map letters C to A) and told council Tees Total Earth Services LLC was the low quote at $40,936. Councilman Colby moved and Councilman Brown seconded approval of the repair; the council approved the invoice by voice vote.
The Lawrence County Board of Elections and Registration’s certified Nov. 4 election results were read into the record for incorporation into meeting minutes; staff noted city council action was not required. The reading included city council at-large vote totals for Tess Godfrey (1,489), Sarah Colby (1,311) and Brandon Chain (977) and multiple school-board and referendum totals.
Council also adopted Resolution 2556 to publish the city’s consolidated schedule of fees (covering gas, water, sanitation, permit and parks fees). Staff said future tweaks are possible to address waivers and departmental authority but approved the base schedule at this meeting.
