Committee members used the July 24 meeting to share brief local business updates. Chair Kristina Doucharm said that Annabelle’s is closing and that equipment from the business is being offered for sale; Vanessa Shafer agreed to check whether the Chamber of Commerce can assist or should be involved.
Member Jared Vengren reported that the Reclaimed Motel’s business is steady this summer, with occupancy peaking around Bard events. No formal action or funding was proposed in response to either report at the session.
Members noted these items for follow-up and will revisit if the Chamber or the Town Board identifies a role for committee support.
