Dublin swears in Dorothy Rosier as city clerk

Dorothy Rosier was sworn in as city clerk for Dublin on Jan. 15, 2026, after the City Council approved Resolution 2605 to appoint a city clerk and election superintendent.
The personnel committee recommended Rosier for the position, the council moved to approve the employment agreement and the council voted in favor. Judge Hilton administered the oath of office; Rosier recited the statutory oath required for public office and signed the document.
Rosier addressed the council after being sworn in, saying she was “honored to serve as the city clerk for the city of Dublin and look forward to working closely with each of you in this new capacity.” She thanked the mayor, council, family and friends for their support and committed to collaborating with staff and appointees.
Council members congratulated Rosier during council comments and several community members who spoke during public comment offered their congratulations.
