Mayor Pro‑Tem Pete Herrmann made the motion to approve the consent agenda (minutes from July 9 and the July expense report); Councilmember Jerry Webb seconded and the consent agenda passed 4‑0. Councilmember Marty Jordan entered the meeting at 5:17 p.m.; shortly after his arrival Councilmember Jerry Webb moved to approve the Quarterly City Investment Report for the period ending June 30, 2024, with a second by Councilmember Michael Chevalier. That motion passed 5‑0.
The council then considered and approved the Gilmer Civic Center vendor application and contract for the November 16 Christmas Market; Councilmember Marty Jordan moved, Councilmember Michael Chevalier seconded, and the vote was 5‑0.
