Olivia (city staff) presented the Groven Platt site-plan amendment for property at 1541 Southeast 3rd Street, explaining the applicant sought relief from a 100% brick requirement in a transportation overlay to allow 75% brick to better match the existing building elevations. Staff recommended approval and council members praised the proposed elevations as more visually consistent than enforcing full brick. A motion to approve the site-plan amendment passed after roll-call votes.
Evan (city staff) presented a final plat for Founders Glen Plat 2, describing a two-phase development on the north side of Southwest 19th Street that will add 34 single-family lots and two public street lots consistent with the approved preliminary plat and r-4 PUD zoning. Staff recommended approval; the council adopted Resolution 06-2926 to approve the final plat.
Both items were approved with staff recommendations. Council reiterated that PUD standards and concept-plan requirements would be used going forward to ensure that new development is compatible with surrounding neighborhoods.
