Solicitor Mueller told the board the township is not required to widen a roadway to accommodate a vehicle a resident has chosen to purchase, and Manager Amy Rockwell confirmed written comments were included in the minutes.
On the board’s agenda, the commissioners moved and approved Resolution No. 2002, which repeals the parking prohibition on Evergreen Drive as set forth in Chapter 15 of the Codified Ordinances. The board also adopted Resolution No. 2003 establishing a Special Parking Zone at 12 Spruce Street. Both resolutions were approved by voice vote and recorded as "all in favor; motion carried." Vice‑Chairman Nee moved Resolution No. 2003, which was seconded by Commissioner James Erb; Resolution No. 2002 was moved by Commissioner Bengel and seconded by Commissioner Erb.
The actions change the township’s formal parking rules for Evergreen Drive and create a designated special parking zone on Spruce Street; the board did not direct staff in the meeting to undertake roadway widening.
