The Rushford Village City Council set a special meeting for 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 to consider hiring a new Public Works/Maintenance Supervisor after narrowing seven applications to four candidates.
Councilmember Rick Ruberg said Hart, Miner and Ruberg met earlier to rate applications; three interviews are scheduled for Saturday, July 19 and one for Tuesday, July 22. The council asked Clerk Mary Miner to post notice of the special meeting at designated businesses, the CRV Hall and the city website.
The council also approved Miner’s request to attend a Southeast Service Coop AI seminar in Rochester on Aug. 11 for $45 (motion by Ruberg, second by Ebner). The minutes list upcoming meetings (SEMLM July 29; CEDA annual meeting July 31) with no council plans to attend.
The special meeting on July 23 will focus on the hiring decision; no hire was recorded at the July 15 regular meeting.
