Township reports road projects: Bonsville retaining wall, pipeline cost overrun covered by state funds, upcoming closures

Derek, speaking for Public Works, said the Bonsville retaining wall project (JD Actman contractor) begins June 22 and will close Bonsville Road between Fischerville Road and Bailey Road through Nov. 24 with a posted detour. He asked residents to heed signage during construction.
Derek also summarized a completed pipelining project on Aspen Drive and Christristen Circle. He said the final cost was $177,327, compared with an initial budget of $155,000, and that the $22,327 difference was covered using state liquid fuels funds.
Assistant Manager Noah and board members asked staff to confirm whether Fisherville Road — which appears closed in places — will be available as part of the detour; Noah said he would follow up with PennDOT and the project's new manager.
Derek said crews have finished two of three community-park roofs and installed benches and that routine mowing and tree trimming will continue across the township.
