FOTW staffing changes prompt Mobbs Committee to plan FY’28 budget request

The committee said it will submit a request for an increased FY’28 budget and discussed contracting FOTW under separate statements of work for projects outside the base contract when additional funding is available.
Morse and the committee discussed a cooperative approach for the year ahead that relies more on community volunteers to handle basic trail upkeep while FOTW focuses its limited hours on skilled tasks. The minutes reflect appreciation for Eric Winter’s work and for FOTW’s continued partnership but do not specify a new contract amount or formal fiscal commitments.
Next steps: FOTW will begin temporary staffing next week, the committee will submit a FY’28 budget increase request, and the BPCC is available to consider financial support for specific projects.
