The Saratoga Springs Design Review Board approved two consent‑agenda items during its July 10 meeting. The first was a historic‑review application for an electric‑vehicle charging installation at 534 Broadway in the RT‑6 district. The second was a request to defer lead‑agency review (coordinated SEQR) for the demolition of an existing gas station and car wash and the construction of a convenience store, canopy and tenant space at 31‑33 Marion; that application will proceed through the Planning Board as lead agency before returning to design review for full review.
Chair moved to approve both items, a motion that was seconded and carried with no members opposed and no public commentators speaking on either case. Staff reminded applicants that the meeting is web‑cast and that applicants should step to the microphone to spell their names for the record when their full applications are heard.
The approvals are procedural and do not change the timing for either project’s next steps: the Marion parcel will proceed first through Planning Board lead‑agency review, and the Broadway EV station will follow standard historic‑district permitting procedures.
