"They're going to say, 'Here's what we planned on. Here's what you want. There's a difference. We don't want to ask them to eat those,'" Larson said, explaining why staff sought flexibility to approve limited change orders at the staff level.
Larson and staff estimated the interior build‑out would take roughly three to four months after key materials — including manufactured trusses — arrive. He said the truss lead time was about four weeks and that the contract would be carried out in stages.
A motion to award the interior build‑out to Frisco River Homes with a not‑to‑exceed authorization of $600,000 was moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
