Commission approves placing updated bylaw language on next agenda for adoption

Commissioners discussed whether deleting the verbal-comments language would prevent staff from reporting written public comments; staff said written comments would continue to be forwarded and that staff does not ordinarily summarize informal phone inquiries without written follow-up.
A motion to place the updated bylaw language on the next meeting agenda for formal adoption was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff noted the draft language will proceed for city attorney review and the commission will consider formal adoption at the next meeting.
